The Skye Bridge

Opened in 1995, the Skye Bridge transformed travel to the island and remains the main gateway for visitors arriving by road. 

Castle Moil

Perched above the harbour, the ruins of Castle Moil overlook Kyleakin and the Kyle of Lochalsh. The short walk to the castle rewards visitors with excellent coastal views and a glimpse into Skye's medieval past.

Kyleakin Harbour

Take a stroll around the waterfront, watch the fishing boats come and go, or simply enjoy one of the best viewpoints back towards the mainland.

Skye Bridge Distillery

Just across the bridge in Kyle of Lochalsh, this small craft distillery produces a range of spirits inspired by the west coast. It's an easy stop if you're arriving on or leaving Skye and looking to take home something locally made.

Walks Around Kyleakin

Kyleakin is a great base for shorter, gentler walks with fantastic coastal views. For those looking to stretch their legs a little further, there are also woodland trails and wonderful viewpoints. Walkhighlands has an excellent selection of walks around Kyleakin, Kylerhea and the Sleat Peninsula.
