Often referred to as the 'Garden of Skye', Sleat is greener than much of the island thanks to its woodland, sheltered coastline and milder climate. It's one of our favourite areas to explore at a slower pace, with beautiful coastal walks, historic sites and excellent food.

Point of Sleat

The southernmost point on the Isle of Skye, this rewarding walk offers sweeping views towards Knoydart, Rum, Eigg and Muck. You'll also discover one of Skye's most beautiful beaches, with white sand and crystal-clear water.

Armadale Castle, Gardens & Museum of the Isles

The former home of Clan Donald, combining historic ruins, woodland gardens and an excellent museum exploring Highland history and clan heritage.

Eilean Iarmain

Set on the waterfront in Isleornsay, Eilean Iarmain is a lovely place to stop for lunch or dinner, with local seafood, Highland hospitality and beautiful views across the Sound of Sleat.
